Donations can be turned in to classroom teachers.

2023-2024 PTA Board Nominations are LIVE now! Would you like to be a part of the BEST PTA Board around? We are seeking out volunteers who may be interested in trying out one of the following Standing Committee Positions: Membership, Volunteer Coordinator, Spirit Wear Coordinator, Media Specialist, and Cultural Liaison, and we are taking recommendations for qualified candidates for the elected positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Please fill out this Google Form to recommend yourself or someone else for any of these positions. Links to position info and specifics are included on the form. Check it out! Have questions? Email the nominating committee at PioneerPTANominations@gmail.com. We will be accepting recommendations for nominations until March 24th, with elections taking place at the April 25th PTA General Meeting.

PTA Meeting Dates have been set for the rest of the year. Please note that the February 9th meeting has been postponed until February 28th. Then, our final two membership meetings of the year will take place on April 25th & May 23rd, so mark your calendars now!

We’re having a Spring Dance on St Patrick’s Day- Friday, March 17th, 5:30-7:30 in the Pioneer Gym! Dancing not your thing? Sign up HERE to volunteer while your kids boogie down and have a blast, with our live DJ leading the fun with music & games! PTA would also appreciate help with setup and clean up. We’re SO excited to bring dances back to Pioneer, but we can’t do it without our volunteers.

5th Grade Families: The 5th Grade class will be having a bake sale during the dance on March 17th. Funds raised will go towards the 5th Grade Celebration at Alderbrook Park on June 5th. If you are able to bake goodies to sell, or are willing to work the bake sale table for part of the dance, please reach out to annaboyd719@gmail.com or text 503-881-3818.

March is Staff Appreciation Month at Pioneer! PTA will be celebrating our amazing Pioneer staff every Wednesday, starting March 8th. One of these Wednesdays will include a staff raffle. If you would like to donate gifts to raffle off for our staff (gift cards, event tickets, gift baskets, etc.), please reach out to meghan.taylor76@gmail.com to arrange the donation. Thank you!

Spirit Wear! Our next Pioneer spirit wear sale is taking place in March! Order forms will be going home with students towards the end of February.

Book Fair Dates have been updated: Please note that our Spring Buy-One-Get-One-Free (BOGO) Book Fair will take place April 24th-28th!

Parents/Guardians: Pioneer needs your help in completing two important surveys: The first is the Family Income Survey (go to Skyward→Family Access→Online forms (left dropdown menu) It takes about 2 minutes to fill out. Without an adequate number of survey participants, “EPS could lose important state funding for education programs that our students are entitled to.” –EPS. The other survey is the Youth Truth Survey, which can be found here, and asks for specific feedback on our school in areas such as culture, engagement, relationships, communication, school safety, and resources. This one takes about 15 minutes to complete, and needs to be completed in one sitting.
